Empowering Women Undergoing Chemotherapy
ChemoChic is a monthly, interactive class offered by the Georgia Cancer Foundation for women undergoing chemotherapy. Developed by three female survivors, ChemoChic provides women with practical information, empowering them to face the challenges created by cancer and chemotherapy. Women attend ChemoChic only once but leave with a renewed sense of well being and the confidence to live their lives to the fullest.
“I am simply overwhelmed by the kindnesses extended to me. As a new cancer (ovarian) patient when attending your ChemChic meeting last week! “Thank You” seems so inadequate! Yet the two speakers, the excellent information and tips provided regarding diet etc., the written info, the exquisite “gift bag” with so many more lovely gifts …honestly, I am truly, sincerely thankful that my friend A. P. suggested I attend! As a result I see many more resources opportunities via the wellness community Atlanta …and in so doing I shall be taking giant steps in understanding of my new journey into the world of cancer. God Bless you and warmest best wishes!”
Who Should Attend?
Women receiving chemotherapy for all types of cancer are invited to attend ChemoChic and may bring a female companion with them. This is a free class, but reservations are required.
