Cancer Warning Signs
See your primary health care provider immediately if you have any of these symptoms:
- Change in bowel or bladder habits
- Sores that do not heal
- Obvious changes in a mole or wart
- Unusual bleeding or discharge
- A new lump or thickening in a breast or lymph node
- Difficulty swallowing or frequent indigestion
- A bothersome cough or hoarseness
Limit Your Cancer Risk
- Don't smoke, or stop smoking
- Eat foods low in fat
- Eat more fruits and vegetables and whole grains
- Exercise regularly
- Limit the intake of alcohol
- Avoid sun exposure
- Use OSHA recommended protective equipment on the job
- Protect yourself from sexually transmitted viruses
