Georgia Cancer Foundation, Sam’s Club Team up to Promote Cancer Awareness

Sam’s Club Tucker and GCF Aim to Promote Cancer Awareness with “Take Charge of Your Health”

Georgia Cancer Foundation (GCF) and Sam’s Club Tucker will present the 2008 Community Cancer Awareness Health Fair, Saturday, August 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the east parking lot of Sam’s Club Tucker, located at 1975 Mountain Industrial Boulevard.

The free event will feature live “Eat Healthy, Feel Good” cooking demonstrations, onsite cancer screenings, a health and wellness workout demo, giveaways, and a kids play land area, and live music.

“This is a great opportunity to spark cancer awareness in the community,” said Rudy Morgan, GCF Executive Director. “We hope that the public will leave the fair with a better understanding of how to take care of themselves and their families.

In addition to Sam's Club Tucker, other sponsors and participants include, FUZE Beverage, LLC, City of Clarkston, and Michele Weston, Branch Manager of Bank of North Georgia, Tucker, Susan G.
