Sixth Annual Radiant Systems Sprint for Cancer
Raises $134,000 for GCF

The Sixth Annual Radiant Systems Sprint for Cancer road race, organized by Radiant Charity Corporation, the non-profit giving arm of Radiant Systems, Inc. and benefiting the Georgia Cancer Foundation, took place on Saturday, April 20, on a wildly beautiful day at Atlantic Station, raising $134,000 for GCF.

The Radiant Systems Sprint for Cancer is a 5K and 10K, USATF-certified course, one of only five races to be sanctioned at Atlantic Station, and also serves as a qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race in July.

“We were excited to once again partner with Georgia Cancer Foundation for the sixth annual Radiant Systems Sprint for Cancer,” said Chris Lybeer, President of Radiant’s retail division and Chairman of GCF. “The race holds a special place in all of our hearts, and as we wrap up this year’s edition, we recognize the courage of our friends, neighbors, and co-workers who have been affected by cancer.”

The race is planned entirely by Radiant Systems’ employees, who volunteer their time to be part of the event and execute all race logistics with the assistance of other volunteers and sponsors. This year’s race featured more than 1,600 runners, making it one of the top five largest road races in the state, and raised a record amount of funding for GCF’s programs and services.

Rudy Morgan, Executive Director of GCF, was ecstatic about this year’s race results.

“Topping last year’s numbers was tough, but the Radiant System volunteers who pour their heart and soul into this event are committed to doing that while providing the best road race in Atlanta,” he said.
