Third Annual Road Race Benefits GCF

All Sprint for Cancer Proceeds Go Directly to GCF

Make your plans now to participate in this year’s Sprint for Cancer @ Atlantic Station! The 5K and 10K road race will take place on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 8 a.m. at the Atlantic Station district in Midtown Atlanta. All proceeds from Sprint for Cancer, presented by Radiant Systems, benefit the Georgia Cancer Foundation (GCF).

“We are thrilled to once again have the support of Radiant Systems’ Sprint for Cancer,” said Brenda Horne, Executive Director of GCF. “This is a phenomenal way for individual and corporate sponsors to join in the fight against cancer.”

The 2006 race, which also benefited GCF, raised over $45,000 for the foundation – half the amount raised during the event. Over 550 people, including many Radiant Systems employees, turned out at last year’s event as volunteers, runners, or phantom runners. Goals for this year’s event are to have participation from more than 1,000 runners and raise $65,000 in sponsorship funds for GCF.

Radiant Systems is currently seeking corporate sponsors for Sprint for Cancer. Sponsoring this event represents an opportunity for area businesses and partners of Radiant to work together in support of the community. Radiant is offering four levels of corporate sponsorship: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Please visit www.sprintforcancer.com for more sponsorship information.

According to its website, The Sprint for Cancer is a community-oriented event whose mission is to put on a quality race for serious and recreational runners and to encourage broad participation from the Atlanta community. The event consists of a 5k and 10k walk/run. The run is for all ages and abilities. The $18 entry fee ($25 if paid that day) also includes fun activities for the whole family.
