Welcome to Georgia Cancer Foundation

A Message From Former Executive Director Brenda Horne

As the Georgia Cancer Foundation has tripled in size since I first became the Executive Director in 2000, the job has grown as well. During the past 2 years, it has become increasingly evident that operations, fundraising, and community relations are more than just one person can handle at GCF.

Therefore, I recently proposed to our Board of Directors that I should move into the Director of Development position, and help participate in a search for my replacement. That proposal was accepted and an intensive executive search was conducted over the course of the past 2 months.

I'm very pleased to announce that Rudy Morgan has been selected for the position of Executive Director! He's a skilled leader with a huge heart for healthcare, as witnessed by his nationally recognized experience with the organ/tissue donation process for the past 20 years. Our skills are a great blend, and I'm looking forward to working with him as we transition our roles in this position.

Please help me welcome Rudy Morgan to the Georgia Cancer Foundation! We're going to do great things together at GCF.

Sincerely,
Brenda K. Horne
Director of Development
