Grant Given to Start New ChemoChic Class in Central Georgia

The Central Georgia Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has awarded the Georgia Cancer Foundation (GCF) a grant to create a ChemoChic class in Macon. Three ChemoChic programs are currently running –– two in the Dunwoody area and one in Gainesville.

ChemoChic is such an empowering program for women. We are thrilled that we are able to expand it to the Macon area,” said Brenda Horne, Executive Director of GCF.

Georgia Cancer Foundation’s ChemoChic classes empower women to combat the side effects of chemotherapy, which robs them of confidence and self-esteem. Professionals and volunteer survivors teach participants how to enrich their minds, bodies, and spirits. ChemoChic is held every month at various locations.
