Sprint for Cancer at Atlantic Station Brings in Community Support

On Sunday, April 30, Over 550 runners gathered for the second annual Radiant Systems Sprint for Cancer at Atlantic Station, a charitable road race that gathered $45,000 for the Georgia Cancer Foundation (GCF). The amount raised was a nearly double the amount brought in last year.

“We are pleased to be in our fourth year of partnering with Radiant Systems in a charity road race,” said Brenda Horne, Executive Director of GCF. “The money raised will help support our important work with cancer patients and survivors in Georgia.”

Last year, the road race raised $25,000 for the foundation.

Radiant Systems also partnered with North Fulton Charities, Inc. for this year’s race. Next year, GCF will be the only partnering organization.

The Sprint for Cancer at Atlantic Station is a 5K and 10K road race put on entirely by the employees of Radiant Systems, Inc. who volunteer their time for the event. Over 550 people, including many Radiant Systems employees, turned out at the event this year as volunteers, runners, or phantom runners.
