23rd Annual Celebration of Life Luncheon & Fashion Show a Huge Success

On Saturday, March 11, more than 400 women gathered at the Atlanta Hilton Northeast in Norcross to attend Bosom Buddies’ 23rd annual Celebration of Life Luncheon & Fashion Show. Those attending enjoyed a fashion show, compliments of Parisian Gwinnett Place, and addresses by breast cancer survivors Danielle Beverly––wife of Atlanta Falcon’s football player, Eric Beverly––and former DeKalb county CEO Lianne Levetan.

Chapter President Judy Calland chaired the event and was pleased that COL coincided with the organization’s Saturday of Service. “It just so happens that this year, March 11 was designated as Soroptimist’s SOS or Saturday of Service. On this same day, in more than 120 clubs around the world, Soroptismists were helping fulfill our mission of improving the lives of women and girls.

Plans are underway for next year’s event, scheduled for Spring, 2007. Bosom Buddies is looking for energetic, enthusiastic participants to serve on our host committee. If you would like to volunteer, call Elizabeth Baggett at 404-723-2853. For more information about Soroptimist International, visit www.soroptimistinternational.org.
