Final plans are underway for the twenty-third annual Celebration of Life Luncheon & Fashion Show fundraiser and outreach program. Celebration of Life is the signature event of the Georgia Cancer Foundation affiliate Bosom Buddies of Georgia, and is a tribute to the spirit of survivorship. This year’s celebration theme is “In the Pink.” Atlanta radio morning show host, Vikki Locke of Star 94, is this year’s celebrity emcee. Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 11, and look for your mailed invitation to this spectacular event!
The event is held at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast located at 5993 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Norcross, GA 30092. The Hilton is one of numerous corporate sponsors who participate in Celebration of Life as a way to give back to the community by honoring breast cancer survivors.
The day begins at 10:30 with a social hour featuring a silent auction and exhibitor showcase. Guests enjoy catching up with old friends and meeting new ones, while bidding on fantastic prizes. The silent auction is a key component of the fundraising aspect of Celebration of Life, and guests give generously to benefit Bosom Buddies and Georgia Cancer Foundation programs.
The exhibitor showcase offers survivors the opportunity to learn about and purchase products and services of interest to them in a low-key environment. Raffle tickets may be purchased during the social hour and this year’s prizes promise to be more exciting than ever before.
Guests are treated to a delicious lunch, specially created by the chef for the “In the Pink” theme. The fashion show features breast cancer survivor models and showcases the latest spring fashions courtesy of Parisian Department Store, Gwinnett Place Mall.
The program also includes remarks from Danielle Beverly, Celebration of Life honorary chairperson, breast cancer survivor, and wife of Atlanta Falcon Eric Beverly. Other celebrity speakers, guests, and performances are in the works for an exciting and uplifting program.
